DICK MARTIN VON OLNHAUSEN ~ Class of 1962
April 22, 1943 - May 26, 2000
Dick Martin Von Olnhausen was born April 22, 1943, in Bozeman, MT. He died on May 26, 2000, in Canoga Park, CA.
He attended Spalding Grade School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1962. Dick was an Eagle Scout, earning his 1st Palm and God and Country Awards.
Dick served as a Petty Officer Third Class in the U. S. Navy from 1962 to 1968. He earned a B.A. in Business Management from Santa Rosa College in 1977.
He had his own business, Controlled Access Services in Los Angeles and was an Elder at Canoga Park Presbyterian Church and very proud of being a Promise Keeper.
Dick is survived by his wife, Gail; son, Adam; daughters: Joyce, Linda and Tanya; four grandchildren; mother, Vera Von Olnhausen of West Richland; brother, Wayne Von Olnhausen ('70) of Finley; sisters: Barbara Von Olnhausen ('62) of McMinnville, OR; Esther Von Olnhausen Christian ('64) of Leavenworth, WA; Diana Von Olnhausen Ruppert ('67) of Kent, WA; Carol Von Olnhausen Welch ('71) of Portland, OR; and Edith Von Olnhausen Nelson of Butte, MT; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold, on March 15, 1999.
Dick was buried at Forest Lawn in Burbank, CA on June 2, 2000.
