BOMBER MEMORIAL

JAMES HERBERT DAWSON "JIM" STULL ~ Class of 1962 Honorary
May 9, 1943 - March 4, 2016

James H. D. Stull, 72, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on March 4, 2016.

Jim was born in Muskogee, OK to Addison and Emma Stull on May 9, 1943.

He was of Cherokee descent and was a member of the Cherokee Nation Tribe. The family moved to Richland in 1947 where Jim attended Jefferson Grade School, Chief Joseph Junior High School and was with the Class of 1962 at Richland's Columbia High School.

He met Linda Snow ('63) in high school. They dated and were married in 1964. They had three beautiful children. They spent a lot of time camping and 4 wheeling. During that time Jim was a member of the Sheet Metal Union and traveled some for work. He worked for Metal Fab in West Richland off and on for all of his adult life.

In 1973 Jim became a member of the L.U. 598 Pipefitter, Plumber and Welder Union. He traveled all over the country for his work and made many friends. If your vehicle broke down or you were stuck in sand or mud, Jim would drop everything to come help you out. That's just the way he was. There was nothing Jim couldn't build out of metal. One of his passions was Harley Davidson motorcycles, building, modifying and fixing them. He rode his motorcycle like people walk, he was a natural at it.

In 1997 Jim met Carla Hughes and her two children. They married in 2001. They road their bikes many times to Sturgis, SD. In 2012 Jim and Carla bought property in Benton City and have resided there since.

Jim was an avid hunter and a member of the NRA.

Jim is survived by his wife, Carla Stull; his sons, Jimmy Stull ('83) and Robby Stull; daughter, Jamie Locke; two step-children, Billy Dolson and Shelby Haag; and his sister, Nancy Stull Jewell ('59).

Services were held at the Knights of Columbus in Richland from 4-7 p.m. on May 25, 2016.

Life Tributes Crematon Center in Kennewick handled the arrangments.
