On April 19, 1970, Margaret Ellen Smith Davenport passed away in Baltimore, MD. Margaret had previously lived in Numberland County, VA. She was born May 23, 1944.

Margaret graduated with the Class of 1962 from Richland's Columbia High School.

She was the widow of Robert J. Davenport.

Margaret is survived by four sons, six daughters, fifteen grandchildreen, sixteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, nieces, nephews, one aunt (Mrs. Georgia Thornton), cousins, five sons-in-law, four daughters-in-law and other relatives.

Friends called at the Herbert E. Nutter Funeral Home in Baltimore, MD. Services were held at New St. Mark Baptist Church at 1725 Division Street in Baltimore. Further services were held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Northumberland County, VA. Interment was at Oak Hope Cemetery in VA.
