James William "Jim" Shirey, age 52, of Kennewick died Friday, June 29, 1996, in Virginia Mason Clinic in Seattle.

He was born July 16, 1943, to Harold and Harriet Shirey in Cooperstown, NY and lived in Kennewick 35 years.

Jim attended Lewis and Clark Grade School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1962 from Richland's Columbia High School.

Jim was a millwright at Hanford.

His siblings were Michael Shirey ('60 honorary), John Shirey, Tim Shirey, Pat Shirey, Linda Shirey Mitchell and Theresa Shirey Grescheck.

Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
