Ronald Howard "Rod" Shanks, 71, of Richland died October 13, 2015, in Richland.

He was born October 19, 1943, in Caldwell, ID to Phyllis M. and William A. Shanks. He lived in the Tri-City area for more than 69 years.

His siblings are Carol Shanks Caldwell ('57RIP), Jeannie Shanks ('60) and Tom Shanks ('68).

Rod graduated with the Class of 1962 from Richland's Columbia High School.

He was a retired nuclear engineer for Westinghouse Hanford.

Hillcrest/Bruce Lee Memorial Center in Pasco handled the arrangements.

NOTE: His mother passed away October 10, 2010.

His sister, Jeannie ('60), passed away June 4, 2022.
