Sharilyn N. "Sherry" Nugent Dupuy, a homemaker and retired human resources director, died at 5:35am Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. She was 65, a resident of Dayton, TX, a native of Prineville, OR, and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA.

Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, from 5pm until 8pm. Visitation resumed on Thursday from 9am until religious service at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment was in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, LA.

She is survived by her husband, Dana G. Dupuy; a daughter, Susan Lowe Beck; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Douglas and Denise Lowe, Scott and Beth Lowe and David Lowe; a sister, Linda Nugent; 21 grandchildren, including three special granddaughters whom she reared from infancy: Sayde Lowe, Megan Lowe and Dayna Lowe; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Margie Nugent; a sister, Sally Ann Nugent, who passed away at the age of four; and two grandsons, Matthew Lowe and Benjamin Lowe.

Pallbearers were Jarrod Lowe, Jake Lowe, Blaine Lowe, Joshua Lowe, Jamon Eddy, Payne Lowe, Paden Maxey and Dean Smith.

She had a lifetime of education through the rearing of four children and additionally rearing three granddaughters, leaving a lasting and loving legacy and family of devoted children.

The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for the special care given her during her illness.
