KENNETH RAY "KEN" MEYERS ~ Class of 1962
July 14, 1944 - August 8, 2011



Kenneth Meyers, 67, passed away at home August 8, 2011. Born to Delbert and Dorothy Meyers in Medford, OR, he was an Army child, traveling while his father was in the service. The family settled in Richland in 1948 where Ken spent most of his life. He graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1962.

Ken enjoyed his family, watching sports and playing pool in local establishments, where he made many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Ken is survived by his brother and sisters: Richard G. ('65) (Loraine Howard) Meyers; Janet ('70) (John) Hansens; and Kathy ('74) (Bill) Hardy; and by his partner in life, Linda Soracson. He leaves behind children: Shawn Manning, Tracy Meyers and Linda's son, Larry (Angie) Bush; grandchildren: Anita, Kelsey, Sydney, Del, Amy and Jesse; and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends, including Dennis Sparks, who the family would like to thank for his tremendous support.

In lieu of services, there was a potluck get together August 28, 2011, at Columbia Point Park in gazebo #2. All were welcome to attend. The family asked you to bring a potluck dish, chairs and a story or two to tell.
