Bonnie Maasen

A longtime resident of Shoreline, Bonnie died peacefully on July 15, 2019, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She was born in Richland on October 9, 1944, to William and Leona Maasen.

She graduated with the Class of 1962 from Richland's Colmbia High School.

Bonnie moved to Seattle where she met and married John P. "Skip" KingJr in 1966. She worked as a secretary for the Police Department for many years before she retired in 2006.

Bonnie loved to garden and spend time at Alta Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Skip; her children: Pat King, Leanne Toliver, Dr. Kimberly King and Dr. Lesley Graham; her five grandchildren; siblings: Bob Maasen ('62) and his wife, Karol; Dorothy Maasen King ('64) and her husband, Mike;, Janice Maasen Fouts ('67) and her husband, Chris Fouts ('66); and James Maasen ('70).

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Peggy Maasen Murray ('66).

Bonnie's service was held on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Shoreline.
