Albert Homer "Al" Leavitt was born September 28, 1943 in Spokane and lived the majority of his life in the Tri-Cities. He passed away at the age of 77 of complications from Multiple Sclerosis on June 26, 2021 in Kennewick.

Al attended Lewis and Clark Grade School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1962 from Richland's Columbia High School. He was part of the vocal group the "Sandmen" in high school.

Following high school he attended Columbia Basin College where he met his future wife, Marcia Slagg. He later traveled throughout the Pacific Northwest singing with the Kingsmen Gospel Quartet.

Al worked in construction, owned the Pasco Fireplace Shop, Guide One Insurance and served as music minister of Tri-City Christian Center. At the time of his death, he was director of Kennewick Christian School and Daycare.

He regularly worshipped at South Hills Church in Kennewick. Al's greatest joys came when serving God and spending time with his family and friends.

Al is survived by his wife, Marcia; sons, Tim (Sandy) of Kennewick and Brian (Laura) of Pasco; grandchildren: Bryce, Kyle, Caleb, Luke and Claire Leavitt; his sister, Pat Leavitt Clark; and his brother, Don Leavitt ('53).

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. at South Hills Church, 3700 West 27th, Kennewick.
