Glenda Jo LaFollette Palacios, age 38, died Monday in a San Diego Hospital.

She was the first baby born to a Hanford Atomic Works family in 1943. She lived in Richland from birth to high school graduation except for two years in Kennewick (grades 6-8) and one year in Yakima (grade 9). She graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1962.

Glenda was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Oceanside, CA.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Palacios of Oceanside; two daughters, Debbie Palacios and Marisa Palacios both of Oceanside; a son, Benjamin Palacios III of Oceanside; her mother, Kathryn LaFollette of Portland; and a sister, Becky LaFollette Taylor ('64) of Stelle, IL.

Visitation and services were at Eternal Hills Chapel with the Rev. Don Watson of the First Baptist Church officiating. Graveside service was at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 1981, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento, CA. The Officiant was Chaplain Ron Wilkins, U.S.M.C.
