Gerald "Jerry" Leo Fehrenbacker, an extraordinary man, husband, father and brother, passed from this world January 31, 2009.

Jerry was truly a family man! He had such a love for his wife and loved, was devoted to and supportive of, each of his children and grandchildren.

Born February 18, 1944, in Buhl, ID to Leo and Berneice Fehrenbacker he was the third of six children. He grew up in Richland, was student body president in junior high school, played football and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1962.

He served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam as a Staff Sergeant.

Jerry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an honorable mission for his church in Germany where he met his sweetheart, Jane. They were married in the Oakland Temple on February 18, 1967. During the years he served his church in many various positions including Branch President in Ione, WA.

He is the father of seven children and grandfather of two.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Jane; sons, Matt (Adi), Tom, Leo (Jen), Joe (Meghan), Howard Studhorse; daughter, Mary Ann; his favorite granddaughter; Alanys; and favorite grandson, Chance; brother, Doug Fehrenbacker ('68) (Kathy); and sisters, Fran Fehrenbacker Durham ('59) (Ray) and Jean Fehrenbacker Herbertn ('67); and foster sons, Diamante Hubbard and Jerrett Harris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Nita ('56) and Bertha ('65); and a son, David.

Next to his devotion to his family came his devotion, caring and desire in helping troubled boys. He had owned two boy's ranches and with Jane, fostered many, many boys through the years, wishing to help and make a difference in their lives.

Funeral services took place at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Hurricane 2nd Ward Chapel; 155 E. 1050 N.; Hurricane, UT. There was a visitation from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services, at the Chapel. Inurnment is in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
