Guy Edward Corrado, 74, passed away peacefully August 5, 2018, in Las Vegas after a valiant, eight-year battle with kidney cancer.

Born May 21, 1944, in Thomasville, Georgia to June and Dr. Al Corrado, Guy grew up in Richland and was an 18-year resident of Las Vegas.

He graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1962 then received a B.S. degree in Wildlife Biology from Arizona State University and a Master's in Counseling from UNLV. Guy taught elementary school for 11 years and was involved in school site planning for the Clark County School District, as well as enjoyed a successful career in real estate for over 30 years.

An avid fisherman, his love of the outdoors included teaching his grandchildren to fish, gardening and cultivating a walnut orchard in Spokane.

Guy leaves a legacy of courage, perseverance and love for family. He is survived by his former wife, Vicki Corrado; son, Gaetano (Veronica); daughter, Lisa (Vitor); grandchildren: Stella, Mateo, Raegan, Camilla and Esther; siblings: John ('64) [Janine Rightmire Corrado ('65)], Jerry ('69) and Pamela ('66); and seven nieces and nephews.

A Reception was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018, with Rosary service and remembrances at 10:30 a.m. and funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m., all at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
