Vernon Bruce Brunelle passed away August 16, 2006, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June, 2006. Bruce (he later used his first name, Vernon) had resided in Santa Ana, CA for the past many years, and survived but a short time in Arlington Gardens Care Center in Riverside, CA. No public services are being conducted.

He was born on June 18, 1944, in Crookston, MN and lived in Richland from 1949 until 1963. After graduation from Richland's Columbia High School in 1962, Bruce attended an electronics technical school in Portland, OR for two years.

Bruce joined the Air Force and served honorably for eight years. After his military service, he was employed by Hughes Electronics in Newport Beach, CA and most recently by Wright Capacitors, Inc. in Santa Ana, CA.

Bruce enjoyed photography and genealogy as a hobby and also wrote financial software dealing with the stock market.

Bruce, who never married, was preceded in death by both parents and is now survived by seven brothers: Robert ('59) of Edmonds, WA; Roger ('61) of Huntington Beach, CA; Richard ('65); Jim ('66) of Anchorage, AK; Larry ('67) of Prosser, WA; Gary ('69) of Murrieta, CA; and Dave ('71) of Yakima, WA.

NOTE: His brother, Bob ('59) , passed away February 13, 2011.
